This time we have about giving you some clues for spending your holiday. Thus, we are looking forward to giving you enough reasons to visit Rhode Island.

The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations is the smallest in size from 50 states of the United States of America. It has the longest official name. Rhode Island is part of the region known as New England (located in the north-east of the country and being the first of the thirteen colonies of Great Britain which declared its independence of the government, thus signaling the beginning of the American Revolution.

It is interesting that the same state of Rhode Island was the last (of thirteen) who signed the U.S. Constitution on 29th May 1790.

The name under which this state is usually called, Rhode Island, refers to the largest island in Narragansett Bay, which was also known as Aquidneck Island. On this island you can see the city of Newport. Aquidneck Island itself is known locally as Newport – although there are three distinct locations placed on it. The origin of the name is unclear.

Although most of the state is located on the mainland, the name Rhode Island is deceptive, leading many to conclude that the entire state is on the island. Sometimes it is confused with the Long Island. The state of Rhode Island is also called “The Ocean State”.

Once you have decided to visit Rhode Island, you have to choose your objectives from 39 cities. The most crowded of them are: Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, East Providence, Woonsocket, Coventry, Cumberland, North Providence, South Kingstown, West Warwick, Johnston, North Kingstown, Newport, Bristol.
