WHAT TO VISIT IN ATLANTA

I have always wanted to visit Atlanta, although I never had this opportunity. Do you want to know why? Well, because it seems to be so special, apart from all the other places of the USA! Let me clear your mind!

Located in the northern half of Georgia, which is also known as the Piedmont, the landscape of Atlanta consists of amazing and unique hills tucked between the very rugged mountains and a vast plain. Its unique geographical position has made Atlanta to be the center of transportation in the South since the nineteenth century. The railroads, the highways and the airport (in 2006 it was the most crowded in the world) have made the city accessible and attractive to the others, especially for commercial agreements.

Atlanta is a city of crossroads. Until the Civil War began in 1861, Atlanta was already a railroad center, a manufacturing center and warehouse supplies, so just try to imagine how it looked like!

Today, Atlanta is spread over 20 provinces and 100 cities and villages. Nearly 5 million people live and work in this area. Atlanta itself is a city with an area of 352km ² with 430,000 inhabitants. In this area there are several neighborhoods, each one of them having its own personality and over 52 different streets are named as “Peach”. You should visit Atlanta at least for those names of streets and maybe you will get inspired from them somehow!

In addition to being the economic and cultural center of the Southern United States, Atlanta offers a modern charm with a traditional flair. Being full of attractions including Georgia Aquarium – the largest aquarium in an enclosed space, Panorama Furniture Atlanta (Atlanta Cyclorama), The tour of CNN Studios, Martin Luther King Jr. Historic District and The Theme Park called Six Flags over Georgia, Atlanta has something different for every visitor.

Buckhead is the place of residence of those who are fashionable, but also the place to go when you want to enjoy the glittering nightlife (theaters, comedy clubs, bars, discos, live shows).

Spring and autumn are ideal seasons to visit Atlanta, so watch out the way you plan your vacation!

During springtime, Atlanta is the beauty of the South. The city itself becomes filled with trees and pink azaleas. Also, during the autumn it is as colored, but during winter it is unpredictable and during summer it is wet and apathetic.
