Playa del Carmen travelling guide

Playa del Carmen is a little corner of heaven up the coast from Cancun known for its white sand beaches, idyllic atmosphere and beautiful landscape, not to mention clean turquoise water that invites to reverie. There are also many things you can do in this place such as swimming with the dolphins, going to the Barrier Reef and visiting the Mayan archaeological sites. Making amazing memories in this place is as easy as leaving your hotel room. Palm trees, pedestrian walkways bustling with life and even beautiful wildlife are enough reasons to feel excited, but these are just a few things you can see and do in this place. If you wish to travel to Playa del Carmen, and everyone does, you need to keep in mind some things. The first thing on the list is the fact that it takes approximately fifty minutes to reach this location from Cancun and twenty five minutes from Cozumel, so you will need to resort to Cancun to Playa del Carmen transport services. Unfortunately, the closest airport where you can land is in Cancun, so you will not be able to relax immediately after landing. You can also book a flight to Cozumel International Airport, but the plane tickets are cheaper for Cancun. Therefore, you will need to book a shuttle from Cozumel or Cancun to Playa del Carmen to ensure that you will not have to worry about transportation after a tiring flight.

The best option to ensure a safe and comfortable arrival in Playa del Carmen is to resort to private transport services. There are plenty of options and alternatives you can choose from, not to mention that you can also book transportation online. Taking the bus is also an option, but you will have to reach the center of the town first at the main terminal and take a bus from there, but you have to keep in mind that it will take longer to reach your destination because of the many stops and that you will also need to check the schedule of the public transportation carefully from home because it is subject to change. You can also take the bus from the airport, but it will not stop along the highway, so reaching Playa del Carmen will require transfer.

Reaching Playa de Carmen with a boat is also an option to keep in mind, if you land on the Cozumel International Airport. There are two companies that offer transfer via boat, so the fare is quite cheap, not to mention that a trip with the boat is more interesting than taking the bus. Make sure that you do not have sea sickness beforehand. The boats leave to Playa del Carmen every hour, but you will need to find a way to reach the port, preferably a private transport considering the fact that you will have the entire luggage with you.
